Getting Back in the Gym After Baby Comes Home

Getting back into the gym is often one of our top priorities after baby comes home. But it can definitely be hard, can’t it? It always seems as if there is something to do or take care of. Whether it’s the wash or the laundry or something else.

One helpful bit of advice I first received is that you need to schedule in your workout at a regular time on a daily basis. If you don’t set aside that time, then something is always going to creep in and try to take its place.

Another bit of good advice is to be realistic and set attainable expectations. Primarily, I mean about the place where you will be working out. With so many opportunities now online for in home training, initially you may not need to worry about getting out to the gym.

Nevertheless, even though you are at home you’ll still want to be on that schedule regularly so that you work the gym in as a part of that daily routine.

Remember, the more you get yourself in shape the easier it will be handling some of the rigors of motherhood. Exercise will help you not only deal with stress, but may also help to balance out any feelings of depression you may have as well.
